Welcome to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering & Technology.The Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 2009.
In the current trend of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology,there is a tendency to teach the details of latest in-demands skills, we believe that a much better approach is to teach the students the basic fundamentals of chemical engineering and chemical technology -principles that will allow them to adapt to the inevitable changes in technology.We always look forward to welcome aspiring chemical engineering graduates to the wonderful world of chemical engineering

About Us

The Department of Chemical Engineering at SGGS IE&T,Nanded, is one of the department in the Maharashtra state in Chemical Engineering,focusing on undergraduate teaching,as well as fundamental and applied research in the variety of areas of current interest. Internet and laboratory facilities are provided to the students. Our departmental magazine helps in bringing the latent potential of our students to the forth and highlights research activities.
The department functions for an all round progress of Chemical Engineering students and thus helping the industry and nation as a whole for it's growth and development. It operates mainly through three steps academics, research, and extension activity. The B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) course was started in the academic year 2009-10 with an intake of 30.
Our students present research papers in the seminar and conferences at National and International level. They are actively involved in organising guest lectures, industrial visits,etc.

  1. To import world class, relevant and need base education to our students in Chemical Engineering and to meet the new challenges and global requirement.
  2. To bridge the gap between industry and institute, the institute is now reaching out to the frontiers in Chemical Industries so that both the institute and industry get manually benefited.

The Department has modern laboratories to serve the teaching and research needs of the students and faculty.The department is organized into small research groups and laboratories. The Chemical Department maintains a broad selection of state-of-the-art research instrumentation.  A key feature of all our labs is the availability of skilled and dedicated technical staff members who keep the instruments well-maintained and help students with user training, sample prep, data interpretation, and instrument scheduling.The following are the major such subdivisions.

Continuing Education Programmes

The department conducts regularly faculty and staff development programs under the AICTE/ISTE/TEQIP schemes for the benefit of faculty members of various engineering colleges. Experts from IIT/NIT/R&D Labs/industry are regularly contributing to these courses.
