Gender Equity Policy

We follow all guidelines as per Constitution, Govt of Maharashtra, Govt of India in this regard.

Admission of girl students : As per Govt of Maharashtra, policy, admission to UG, PG courses take place through Central Admission process of CET Cell/DTE Maharashtra and 30% seats reserved for girls.

Hostel admission: 100 % outstation girls are given admission in institute Hostel. Roughly 650 girls stay in institute hostels out of total students. which is 50% of the total capacity of Hostels. Appropriate measures are taken for security and safety of girl students staying in campus.

All the departments are having Common rooms for ladies.

Women Empowerment committee comprising of all Lady faculty and staff members is created and meet as frequently as possible to address needs of Girls studying in the institute alongwith

For safety and security of Boys and girls commuting from the city to institute, bus services are provided to local residents with security guard on each bus.

Regular meetings of students with Rector/Warden/Hostel staff are taken for addressing the needs of students.

A group of girl students staying in Hostel is being mentored by a lady faculty through regular visits.

Special programs are conducted at girls hostel by eminent speakers on Women Empowerment, hygiene, health.
